I read this book about 14 years ago. It was about a world where there were red and green dragons, except all the green dragons were extinct except for one. The story was about two best friend dragons (a girl red dragon and the one green dragon who was a boy). I think the girl red dragon's dad was king of the red dragons? And he banished the green dragon maybe because they fell in love? I am uncertain.

So the green dragon left to go see if there were other green dragons and I think the girl red dragon went with him.

I DISTINCTLY remember the cover, which had a red dragon and a green dragon flying on it.

Any help finding this book would be so appreciated!

I'm really glad I found this community, I read a looot of books, so hopefully I can contribute in answering questions as well as getting help!

Speaking of which, I just remembered a YA fantasy novel I read around 2008. It has (at least) two main characters, a boy and a girl, whose perspectives are switched between. The girl is a dragon/fairy creature locked away in a tower and has been since she was little, and the person who locks her in stole her wings - ripped/cut them right off her back, I remember them describing the wounds. I think the captor claims she saved the girl from being murdered. The captor wears the wings as a cape, and either uses them to fly or is trying to figure out how to use them to fly. Near the end of the book the girl breaks out of her room and finds her wings up on the wall, at which point her magic calls to them and they reattach. She flies away and meets the boy who was racing to the tower on horseback.

That's as much as I can remember! One or two details might be slightly wrong, but I distinctly remember the scene where her wings flew to her and reattached to the scarred nubs on her back.

Any help appreciated!

I don’t remember much about this book, just the cover has a dragon on it , either looking down from a mountain peak or the top of a building.

The only part of the story besides vague snippets that I remember is the beginning. The main character either goes into the cellar to get something or to hide from the dragon but he is the only survivor of a dragon attack? The whole village is gone. That is all I remember. Been looking for this book for days.

Any help would be great thanks!

Im not quite sure if im mixing up two different books together, but i remember this one scene, where an older lady (an elite) is pretending to be good but is in fact evil, she puts these bracelets on the mc girl which forces the girl to do exactly as she is told against her will. As a demonstration of this power she forces the girl to lick the feet/sandal of her son(s?). Otherwise she leaves the girl to work with her servants.
Im fairly certain the girl is friends with a dragon, a young one who cannot fly very far or cannot carry her far.
I think she met the evil lady in a secluded or secret area where she was being taught magic before she was enslaved.
I believe the girl is part of a prophecy including the dragon friend.
Unfortunately this is all I can remember due to how i remember questioning the slavery part in what im sure was otherwise a children's book. (just seemed a bit more explicit than i was expecting)

I'm trying to find a book I read around 7 to 8 years ago. I can't remember a lot about it, but the main protagonist was an orphan boy. The orphanage was kind of strange and creepy because it would be visited by these bird men or something. It's possible they were also the ones who brought the boy, I can't remember. I also can't remember what made him want to leave, but he eventually runs away from the orphanage with another boy and girl who I think were both mean to him. Again, I don't remember anything that happens until around the end of the book. There is an adult couple who convince them that they are two of the children's parents. I remember this one specific part regarding the girl: she asked the lady to brush her hair because she thought it was a mother-daughter thing (actually now I'm not sure if she asked the fake lady or her real mother later). They eventually find out these people are lying to them to harm or kill them, and they also find their real parents and I think it turns out that all three of them are actually siblings and they are all royalty. I also think the main protag kills a dragon at some point. I hope someone can identify this book!!

I totally forget the name of the book or who the author is.

A few pieces I remember:
• it was a series
• the main character hunted dragons from the past that are committing crimes?
• there was 1 dragon who was pure white who liked keeping things and his hoard clean
• dragons has human and dragon forms
• it takes place in the modern day
• each dragon has a specific weakness

It’s set in another world on a farm or ranch where they raise dragons. When a group of dragons was about to hatch the main protagonist, a young boy steal one of the eggs and hides it then makes a mini farm with some type of firegrass that dragons eat but if humans touch directly it burns them. Later in the story it’s found out that he stole the dragon, and I think some other child was introduced as well, they were then hunted by the people who owned the ranch. The dragon got injured but they got away. However the nights on that planet are extremely cold so the dragon which was dying made a choice a cut open it’s stomach so the children cold hide from the cold. The book ends with the children coming out of the stomach and finding out that the dragons blood changed them.

This is all I can remember about the book. If you know or can find out the name of the book or author then I thank you deeply for the help.

Hi everybody!

So the details I remember are:

Good vs evil in both the real world and parallel world

The setting of the book is an old school but there is also a parallel world (of sorts) where there are dragons, kings and all that stuff so that version is like a medieval fantasy one. You can only go to that parallel world and back on certain times a year. People from the school also have like, soul twins(?) in the parallel world. For example there is a professor in the school who knows these things and mentors laura, his other version in the parallel world is a king and I remember both of them getting hurt or sick if either of them gets hurt or sick. And the protagonist needed to save the professor/king at one point because of this(one of them was poisoned I think?) I think she had to get something like the holy chalice or something like that to heal the guy but I’m not sure

The main character was a girl called Laura (%90 sure) she had telepathy, telekinesis and other abilities like that. She basically helps the professor and other good characters by having secret confrontations with the evil guys in the real world, she also goes to the parallel one to help out with stuff.

I think there are 5 or 6 books in the series and I’m %100 sure the main heroine forgets everything and loses her powers to win against the evil at the end. And then a new student arrives (and it is implied that the new guy has her abilities and he/she will take the protagonist’s place now) and it ends like that

I remember a dragon eating a character in the 4th or 5th book I think?

I also remember that the protagonist has a confrontation with a sfenks(sphynx?) in the parallel world and she escapes by answering her riddle correctly.

I also remember that the evil people try to kill the protagonist and her mom when she’s little, they put some hellhound like dogs on the road when they are in a car and her mother drives the car down a cliff to the sea to not hit them, her mother drowns but an angel or something saves the protagonist

I think she also has a brother who has no powers BUT I’m really not sure about this one

I think I read this book around 7-8 years before? I think it was a new book back then but I’m not sure.

This is about all I remember from the books. If anyone can help me out I’d really appreciate it, thanks in advance everybody!
