I am trying to recall a very surreal portal fantasy book I read about 10-15 years ago. I believe it was a children's or young adult book. I don't recall much about it other than the state of Delaware was a fabrication by a sinister power, and possibly also that dinosaurs lived there. The cover of the book was green and yellow, and had a pulpy feel to the aesthetic. I know it's a long shot based on what I recall, but if anyone can help me, that would be great! Thanks.

edit: I'm pretty sure the protagonists were two boys and a girl, if that helps at all.

I remember reading the first in a small book series in the nineties. It was about a group of four or five teens who worked at, I believe, a radio station. One was a cliched rich girl and the other was a guy from the wrong side of the tracks. I think, but am not completely certain, that his name was "Hero".

If anyone could put a name to this book series I would be so, so grateful!

, I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to tell me the name of a series that I am trying to remember.
Details I remember about it are:
The main character is a superhero who is a male but can change shape and turns female to protect his identity when doing super things.
His powers come mainly from an experiment that gave him the ability to change his power level in ways such as more speed but less strength, more strength but less durability, and so on.
At first he doesn't want to be a hero but is convinced in the first book.
In one of the books he starts a school for super powered children on an old villian? base that's technically not part of any nation. It gets attacked and some of the students are kidnapped.
He has a relationship with one of his superhero teammates both as his normal self and his female alterego. (Same sperson and she does know about him being both)
His neice attends the school

I read the first one of this series between 2008 and 2009. The parts that I remember about it was that the main character was a virgin and somehow her being a virgin gave her abilities of some sort. early in the book she got drunk and had a one night stand, also there was a horse that ate a human in order to get three wishes one of which was the ability to digest meat so he wouldn't die, the other was the ability to breathe fire and the third was to be giant.

Hi! I read this book when I was quite young and I think I remember its name but I can't find it anywhere online.

From what I can remember it was called the Shattered Mirror. The story was of a rich guy who got handicapped in an accident. He hires a female caretaker who starts living in his house. They begin to fall in love all the while she notices some supernatural activity. Later on, she finds out the house is haunted by the guy's dead fiance who moves through mirrors and tries to kill the girl.

I totally forget the name of the book or who the author is.

A few pieces I remember:
• it was a series
• the main character hunted dragons from the past that are committing crimes?
• there was 1 dragon who was pure white who liked keeping things and his hoard clean
• dragons has human and dragon forms
• it takes place in the modern day
• each dragon has a specific weakness

It's driving me crazy I can't think of this series! I'm pretty sure it's a 90s series though maybe very early 2000. It was a series I think 5 or 6 books in total, but could have been more. Pretty sure I bought them from Scholastics.

Anyways, what I can remember of this series, is various children of varying ages. I know, not very helpful.

I do remember one of them was with a girl and her horse.

This is not a lot to go on, I know, and I apologize, but will be forever grateful if there's an answer!

Looking to find a sci-fi book series i read as a kid. The premise as i can remember it, is a boy that leads a troubled life and when he dreams, he is pulled into these dystopian/nightmares of some sort.

The plot revolves around him collecting relics in these dreams, but i forget why.

The covers of the first three books (as i remember) is a Clocktower, the second has an old red steam engine at a crossroads, and the third is a bed floating in the middle of the ocean!!

There are more books in the series, i just never got to read them!

So the details I remember are:

Good vs evil in both the real world and parallel world

The setting of the book is an old school but there is also a parallel world (of sorts) where there are dragons, kings and all that stuff so that version is like a medieval fantasy one. You can only go to that parallel world and back on certain times a year. People from the school also have like, soul twins(?) in the parallel world. For example there is a professor in the school who knows these things and mentors laura, his other version in the parallel world is a king and I remember both of them getting hurt or sick if either of them gets hurt or sick. And the protagonist needed to save the professor/king at one point because of this(one of them was poisoned I think?) I think she had to get something like the holy chalice or something like that to heal the guy but I’m not sure

The main character was a girl called Laura (%90 sure) she had telepathy, telekinesis and other abilities like that. She basically helps the professor and other good characters by having secret confrontations with the evil guys in the real world, she also goes to the parallel one to help out with stuff.

I think there are 5 or 6 books in the series and I’m %100 sure the main heroine forgets everything and loses her powers to win against the evil at the end. And then a new student arrives (and it is implied that the new guy has her abilities and he/she will take the protagonist’s place now) and it ends like that

I remember a dragon eating a character in the 4th or 5th book I think?

I also remember that the protagonist has a confrontation with a sfenks(sphynx?) in the parallel world and she escapes by answering her riddle correctly.

I also remember that the evil people try to kill the protagonist and her mom when she’s little, they put some hellhound like dogs on the road when they are in a car and her mother drives the car down a cliff to the sea to not hit them, her mother drowns but an angel or something saves the protagonist

I think she also has a brother who has no powers BUT I’m really not sure about this one

I think I read this book around 7-8 years before? I think it was a new book back then but I’m not sure.

This is about all I remember from the books. If anyone can help me out I’d really appreciate it, thanks in advance everybody!

This was a series I believe I read in the early(?) 90's about 4 girls who maybe were already friends and went to college together, or maybe some of them already knew each other? I'm pretty sure there was nothing paranormal or anything about the books, just basically the series was kind of a teen soap opera type deal with the girls in college. Lots of friend and girl drama.

I think each book may have been told from a different girls' perspective or was about one girl at a time. I know at least one was in a sorority or pledging and it caused drama.

I believe I was getting them via Scholastic book club, but not sure.
