HI all, new member here.
For a few months now I have had no luck finding a book I read in my younger years, and then I found this place, and I hope you are able to at least point me in the right direction.

The story is based around a woman who has recently lost her sister through suicide,
It involves a deformed individual with the ability to control a person through mind control, including his own brother who he uses to kidnap the main woman in the story.
I don't remember much else other than...
There was a man who was helping her,
He may or may not have been a detective.
She ends up being controlled against her will.

I think the book cover depicted a woman lying in a puddle of broken glass on the pavement/sidewalk.. but not too sure.

If anybody knows the book or title i would be most grateful for it.
Many thanks in advance.

Would you happen to have an approximate date? Like, https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/36412584-the-girl-who-lived might be a possibility, but it was published just last year.

Any names you could come up with might also be helpful. (I'm looking for thriller novel mind-control telepathy kidnapping and not getting much. *mutter*)

Fingers crossed someone else will know it!

*goes digging more*

Well, https://www.amazon.com/White-Lies-Arcane-Society-Book-ebook/dp/B000OZ0O0C/ isn't it, but there's a chance you might like it... *wry*

Horror/Suspense/Thriller isn't really my genre, so it might just be the tropes, but Dean Koontz seems like a possible author.

https://www.amazon.com/Killer-Dreams-Novel-Eve-Duncan-ebook/dp/B000GCFW3W/ probably isn't it.

*ponders a search for the cover image*...

This is "Sibs" by F. Paul Wilson. It's loosely related to his Nightworld stories.
