Teen book series with Angels (90s?)

It's driving me crazy I can't think of this series! I'm pretty sure it's a 90s series though maybe very early 2000. It was a series I think 5 or 6 books in total, but could have been more. Pretty sure I bought them from Scholastics.

Anyways, what I can remember of this series, is various children of varying ages. I know, not very helpful.

I do remember one of them was with a girl and her horse.

This is not a lot to go on, I know, and I apologize, but will be forever grateful if there's an answer!

the closest thing i know of is maximum ride by james patterson but the first book came out in 2005?

I haven't anything helpful to suggest, but have been exploring the kinds of places I look for these kinds of things. Hopefully these links work: Goodreads list of Young Adult books about/with Angels, and a tagmash in LibraryThing for angels, series, young adult. May your book(s) be there!

The comments for the Goodreads list suggest it is a bit of a mess -- not everything is YA, not everything is angels, some are duplicates. The tagmash might not be quite right -- maybe try other options? (I tried Scholastic, angels, series and only got a few, none of which looked very helpful).

Maybe the series Forever Angels? I read rhem in the 90's too. Different girls, various sad things happen to them, angels help out.
