https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1003291.Thirteen_Tales_of_Horror might contain something? It's just giving me titles, though. It's in a young-adult Horror series, though: "Point Horror Series." https://www.goodreads.com/series/199677-point-horror has a list, including some collections.

Sounds a bit like it's using Jane Eyre tropes. I don't dare visit TV tropes, though. Gotta get my kid to bed. https://owlcation.com/humanities/Jane-Eyre-Sequels-Prequels-Spin-Offs-and-Retellings has a list that might at least be interesting.
